Who is eligible to become an AbroadLeap Guide?
Anyone with certified German language proficiency (Goethe/TELC B2, C1, or C2), active living or working experience in Germany, or an academic degree from a German university is welcome to apply.
How do session bookings and scheduling work?
Once onboarded, you specify your weekly available slots on your dashboard. When candidates book a slot, an automated calendar invite and Zoom video link are generated for both of you along with the candidate's application profile.
How and when do I receive payouts?
Payouts are calculated per completed session based on your set rate. Direct bank transfers are processed bi-weekly (twice a month) straight to your bank account.
What technical setup do I need?
All you need is a laptop or desktop computer with a HD webcam, a stable internet connection, a quiet environment for video calls, and a Google / Zoom account.
Can I choose how many hours I mentor per week?
Yes! You have 100% control over your schedule. Whether you want to mentor 2 hours on weekends or 15 hours across weekdays, you set your own availability.
